Cosmetic Surgery procedures in the UK
Plastic surgery includes many different procedures, all with their own benefits for particular individuals. Some are better known than others, with breast enlargement, breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tucks and rhinoplasty receiving a lot of attention, with face lifts also getting in on the action.
There is also a procedure known as blepharoplasty, otherwise known as eyelid surgery, which can get rid of unwanted features around the eyes, including crow’s feet, wrinkles and eye bags. The procedure is well received by those that undertake it with reasonable expectations, resulting in an appearance that is more refreshed and youthful.
Cosmetic surgery will always be viewed with scorn by some, but thanks to organisations such as the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), cosmetic surgeons will continue to have the best interests of the patient at heart (as all surgeons do). Their aim is to improve the lives of the patients and with new techniques and technologies and their disposal, this task is becoming easier and easier with time.
